Looking for an easy craft on a snowy day? Try this super simple coffee filter snowman. You only need a few supplies, and you likely have them on hand. This is an excellent craft to do with toddlers, preschoolers and young children alike. Eager children will love using glue and practicing scissor skills. Parents will enjoy the simplicity of the craft and minimal prep and clean up time. Follow the quick directions below and enjoy this snowy weather!
Supplies
Construction paper in various colors
Scissors ✂️
glue stick (optional)
white school glue or puff paint
coffee filter
Steps
Choose one piece of construction paper for your background. Glue the coffee filter in the center of the paper. I recommend using a glue stick rather than liquid glue so that it won’t show through.
Cut out a hat, 2 circles for eyes and 5 circles for the mouth out of black construction paper. Then cut a triangle out of orange construction paper for the nose.
Glue all of the pieces onto the coffee filter.
Alternately, you can use a black marker to simply draw the eyes and mouth on.
Finally, use the white school glue to make snowflakes on the background.
